XL Eastern Dark Beaver Pelt - Dressed Beaver pelts of excellent quality, leather is very clean. These skins have been dressed to garment quality specs, leather has been planed and is excellent for hats, mitts, etc. The legs have been professionally opened to aid in the blocking process to get you extra useable square inches of material.
Choose from: XL Heavy or XL Semi Heavy - Note Heavy vs Semi-Hvy skins, heavy is long haired goods, semi are medium hair length/knap, both are very full skins and suitable for making mitts, hats, etc.

Beaver size is calculated by length + width measurements. Realize that skins shrink significantly during dressing/tanning, thus for best results, always wet leather and re-stretch/block skins to realize the full potential of your skins. Use our fur tacker to fasten skins when stretching, cut skins with our furrier knives for a delightful cutting experience!
Note: In the dressing process, very slight nicks/holes can be made, but are extremely small and very easily repaired if they do occur. If significant damage occurs at dressing, we will create/have a slight damage lot to buy from at a discount
