About Us

At Canadian Coyote Company Ltd, we aspire to promote sustainable consumptive use of wildlife and combat the forces that oppose not only fur trapping, but also hunting and fishing that we all love.

We live in an age where the animal rights people have sent the sportsman virtually underground.  Regardless of whether an individual wishes to hunt, fish or trap, all consumptive wildlife users are being pushed aside into the corner, a virtual underground existence. The media and anti-everything people have shamed our passions and heritage to the point where we are losing our freedoms and way of life.  By carrying beautiful, eye-catching fur skins to display in your store you show support for sustainable consumptive use of wildlife!  We can boldly sell to our sportsmen and sportswomen customers who will proudly show off their purchased trophies to every guest that enters their living room and man cave alike! It is important that we remain visible in this, our ever changing society.  We do not wish to crawl away and hide, but instead desire to promote sustainable renewable wildlife consumption and few things showcase the beauty of nature like a flashy fur!

At Canadian Coyote Company Ltd, we aspire to promote sustainable consumptive use of wildlife and combat the forces that oppose not only fur trapping, but also hunting and fishing that we all love.

Fur, as with all wildlife, is a renewable resource so long as it is carefully managed. Furbearing animals are carefully managed as fur harvesters take the excess out of the population annually, which in turn benefits all remaining animals in their struggle to make a living. A managed population will be a healthy population, more likely to be well fed whether a carnivore or herbivore.

The modern wild fur industry is highly regulated and carefully controlled. Animals today are captured and harvested using the most modern humane equipment in history.  Equipment used today must conform to the standards for humaneness as set forth by the International Organization for Standardization; ISO standards, which are very stringent so that animals are either quickly euthanized or restrained without undue injury.  The Fur Industry has come a very long ways in the last couple of decades to such end that we can be proud of the manner in which we treat the wildlife that we harvest!
