Wild fur used is derived from Canadian and to a small degree, American furbearers that are harvested under strict wildlife management protocols to ensure healthy, abundant wildlife populations by utilizing the excess which must be removed annually to maintain the health of both the animal species, as well as that of the ecosystem they thrive within. Unchecked wildlife populations will strip the land of resources needed by the same species and will often lead to an unbalanced ecosystem of both food and even vegetation. For the same reason that domestic animal populations are managed by cities around the world, it is likewise beneficial to wildlife populations to be carefully managed.
